Go! foods and Whoah! foods
In Christopher's P.E. class they seem to be playing a sort of red light / green light game except it deals with healthy (Go!) foods versus nonhealthy (Whoah!) ones. At least, this is how I understand the game, having only heard Christopher describe it.
I think it's great; it teaches them about eating right while simultaneously wearing the little darlings out.
And I used it to my advantage this morning during the daily breakfast negotiations.
Christopher requested one waffle with syrup, plus a bowl of cereal (he asked for Corn Pops). I countered with waffle + Life Cereal, and told him it was a Go! food. I then showed him the American Heart association sign of approval on the top of the box:

He was suitably impressed.
He then told me, "I bet the Froot Loops box would have a heart covered in gloop on it. or maybe a skull-and-crossbones heart."
Funny to imagine, isn't it?

Great, I can't wait until V comes home from school and realizes how awful our pantry contents are.
I love that boy.
