Sexism
Frank accompanied Christopher's class on a field trip today and laughed to me that they gave him (the only Daddy chaperone) fewer kids to supervise than the moms. We both assumed they thought he couldn't handle it, which is mostly funny but also a little sad.
In addition to being Christopher's first field trip experience, today also held his first school bus ride, which I'm looking forward to hearing about after school.
A cute picture from today:
It's too bad that privacy considerations require me to block out the girl's face, because you don't get to enjoy the adoring gaze she's bestowing on my boy (who's painting a pumpkin, in case you were wondering. Yep, he's an artistic prodigy!).
This particular girl, though perfectly nice, has of late invited Christopher's ire by "asking too many questions". Such questions include: "Who's your favorite person in this class?" C: S (a boy) "Oh. Well, who's your favorite GIRL in the class?" C: H (not Ms Questiony Questionerson) "Hm. Well who's your SECOND favorite girl in the class?" C: Don't know.
Ouch. He has no clue why she's asking, poor girl.
When I asked, "Why didn't you say (Ms QQ) was your second favorite girl?" he responded with: "Probably because she asks too many questions."
Gotta love it.

That kid's bluntness kills. Glad to see that the site is back up. Hopefully Frank used more than duct tape this time.
