Designated "The Official Mexican and Mexican American Fine Art Museum of
Texas" by the Texas Legislature, Mexic-Arte Museum has a 22-year outstanding
history of presenting treasured art works and innovative educational programs.
Since its inception, Mexic-Arte Museum has served tens of thousands of youth
through tours, after-school programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives. To continue serving Austin and Texas, Mexic-Arte Museum will use $5 million in Proposition 4 funding to help construct a beautiful new state-of-the-art museum building. The new facility will house the Museum's growing art collections and expand education and exhibition services to contribute to the vitality of Austin.
